What is Fidya?
Fidya is a charitable donation made by Muslims who are unable to fast due to illness, age, or other valid reasons. It is a way to fulfill your obligation while helping the poor and needy during Ramadan.
How Fidya Works:
- One day missed = One meal for a poor person
- Your contribution goes directly to feeding those in need
- Ensures you honor your Ramadan obligation even if fasting isn't possible
Ready to pay Fidya and support those in need?
Pay Your Fidya NowAnd whoever of you is ill or on a journey [during Ramadan] - then an equal number of other days. And upon those who are able [to fast, but break it intentionally] is [the expiation of] feeding a needy person..." Surah Al-Baqarah 2:184

Fidya - A Act of Compassion and Service
Fidya is more than a simple donation-it is an act of empathy and care for those in need. When a person cannot fast due to illness, age, or hardship, Fidya allows them to fulfill their religious obligation while directly supporting the poor and vulnerable. Every contribution becomes a meal, a moment of relief, and a gesture of hope for someone struggling
By giving Fidya through our programs, you are not only honoring your Ramadan obligations but also uplifting your community-ensuring no one goes hungry and that the blessings of Ramadan reach those who need it most

Fidya Vs. Kaffarah
Kaffarah is required when a fast is intentionally broken without a valid reason, as a form of spiritual atonement. If you deliberately missed a fast, the obligation is different from Fidya:
What is Kaffarah
Feed 60 poor people for each intentionally
broken fast.
What is Fidya
Feed one poor person per day if fasting is missed due to illness, old age, or other valid reasons.
