Supporting Refugees

in the Sacred Days of Dhul Hijjah

Sadaqah is not just a random kind act, it is a way to seek Allah’s pleasure, to ease someone’s hardship, and to answer a call that has been repeated throughout the Qur’an: care for those in need.

This includes those who have been forced to leave everything behind. Refugees who arrive with little. Families who don’t know what comes next.

Meeting Refugees with Care
Mustafa works with ICNA Relief as a case manager for refugee families. His days begin early and often run long. One day, he’s helping a father apply for his first job. Next, he’s at a clinic, helping a mother navigate a child’s appointment. Each task is part of a larger effort to make sure a family can start again with support.

It isn’t always easy. There are language barriers, unfamiliar systems, and families who carry trauma from what they’ve escaped. Butthe goal is simple: help them get to a place where they no longer feel alone.

Mustafa doesn’t work in isolation. He builds connections with
local clinics, schools, food banks, and community groups. These relationships help form a safety net, one that doesn’t disappear after a few weeks.

What ICNA Relief Provides
Refugee families are often caught between survival and uncertainty. ICNA Relief offers practical support that helps close that gap.

  • Caseworkers help families apply for identification, enroll children in school, and access healthcare
  • Food, hygiene kits, and household supplies are provided to meet immediate needs
  • Community events are organized so children feel included and families feel welcomed
  • Referrals are made to local services for legal help, counseling, and job placement

This is the work your Sadaqah sustains. And during Dhul Hijjah, when rewards are multiplied, the impact of that support is even greater.

Why These Days Matter
The Prophet ﷺ described the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah as a time when no deeds are more beloved to Allah. That includes Sadaqah given with sincerity.

When you support ICNA Relief’s refugee programs in these days, you are giving families the chance to regain stability, and giving yourself the opportunity to seek rewards at the most beloved time.

How to Give
✔️ Donate during any of the ten days of Dhul Hijjah

What Your Support Makes Possible
When Misael Eliud and Christian Mutabazi arrived in the U.S., they had no family to welcome them. But through ICNA Relief, they found housing, access to healthcare, help with school enrollment, and a sense of direction. What stayed with them most wasn’t just the support, it was knowing someone was there to help them take the next step.
These are the moments your giving makes possible. Not through grand gestures, but through consistent care, especially in the days Allah loves.
May all your good deeds be accepted during these blessed days.
