ICNA Sisters is a leading Islamic organization in North America. Islamic Circle of North America Sisters was established in 1978 as a response to the growing need for a supportive Muslim Community in North America. ICNA sisters have 14 different departments, 128 Neighbornets, and a presence in 28 states with over 2100 members working all around the nation. Some of the ICNA sisters’ projects are: Tarbiyah, Outreach (workshops and Seminars on various topics), Online Institute, Publications, Research and Development, Buddy System, Quran Classes, Social Justice, Revert support, Noor Magazine, and Relief efforts to name a few. ICNA Sisters established their own headquarter in Houston; Fauzia Naheed Outreach Center -a place for the sisters by the sisters.

Mission

The mission of ICNA Sisters is to strive for the pleasure of Allah (swt) by nurturing the spiritual, moral, and intellectual development of Muslim women. ICNA Sisters are committed to improving the lives of Muslim women through education, and service so they can reach their full potential. They not only mentor sisters but also empower, and encourage them to be the best role model for their communities. They strive to create a safe and supportive environment with opportunities designed to equip women with the tools they need to be strong and successful leaders in their communities and beyond. They support a number of charities as well as volunteer efforts in their communities. They work closely with local mosques, schools, and other organizations to ensure that Muslim women have the resources and support they need. They are dedicated to creating a vibrant and supportive environment for Muslim women to connect, grow, and succeed. In addition, ICNA Sisters has a dynamic and growing online presence, with a website and various social media platforms. ICNA sisters try to keep their legacies alive by playing their part in every role possible, whether it is collecting money for the refugees, feeding the hungry, being mentors for MCNA-YMj, or advising the Muslim youth. Whether it be training for conflict resolution or self-development, or tips and support for revert sisters, ICNA sisters are part of every community in all fields!

What They Do

MCNA-YMj

One of the signature projects of icna sisters is MCNA-YMj, which stands for Muslim children of North America and young Muslim juniors. ICNA sisters understand their role as Muslim women, and they have taken this immense responsibility on their shoulders. ICNA sisters, at MCNA-YMj, discuss the pressing issues and tackle them head-on. MCNA-YMj is a national children’s organization that aims to educate young Muslims and develop them into future leaders. MCNA-YMj brings together Muslim children from all backgrounds, providing them with a platform to learn about Islam and tackle real-life concerns. The organization fosters a sense of community among the children, helping them to live as dedicated young Muslims. MCNA-YMj conducts weekly, mentoring in-person and online sessions all over the United States with around 5000 participants in over 150 locations, offering Islamic learning as well as various workshops, Competitions, Courses, Outreach activities, Community services, Summer programs, Primetime sessions, Book Clubs, Ramadan Sessions, Talent Shows, Field trips, Coding Classes, Robotics, and much more. MCNA-YMj publishes their own Magazine “Companion”; For the kids by the kids. MCNA-YMj partners up with other organizations like ICNA Relief, HHRD, YM, Whyislam, and Gainpeace to name a few, and brings various other programs, campaigns, and competitions throughout the year. MCNA-YMj seeks to produce Well rounded future leaders with Balanced Personalities, Good Etiquette, high Morals, and Leadership Skills. ICNA is not just an organization, it is a Family. A Family that is helping to shape the leaders of today and tomorrow.
