We have four programs to support the nutritional needs of our community
On Site Food Pantry
We are the only food pantry in Lowcountry open 5 days a week from 9 am to 3 pm, serving over 1000 families per month
Fresh Express
We hold 6 farmers market style fresh produce distribution in community where over 5000 lbs of food is distributed.
Home Grocery Deliveries
Through our partnership with Amazon, we are able to deliver monthly supplies to families in need
Child Hunger Prevention
We partner with two Title 1 schools to provide weekend meals to children who rely on school lunches

When can I drop of donations?
We accept donations Monday through Friday between 9am to 3 pm
Do you accept other items ?
We accept other non-perishable, unopened food items along with cleaning supplies (laundry detergent, dish soap) and personal hygiene items (soap, shampoo, toothpaste)
Can we order online and ship items directly to you?
Yes. Anyone wishing to donate can shop their favorite retailer online (Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc) and have the items shipped directly to us at Shifa Clinic 668 Marina Drive, Unit A4, Charleston SC 29492
Will you provide boxes or bins for food drive
In an effort to be more sustainable, we encourage people to reuse any boxes they might have laying around. But if you are unable to find some we can work with you for solutions. You can also ask for free boxes at your local grocery store.
Do you take monetary donations?
Thank you so much for the consideration. Yes we would accept it and all monetary donations are tax-deductible and greatly appreciated..
Can my child earn volunteer hours for drive?
Absolutely, please document hours with a description and we will gladly validate them for their school or organization. Contact us at volunteercoordinator.shifa@gmail.com

What kind of support can Shifa provide?
We will support you through your process and provide flyers & best practices to help you host a great food drive! We can provide social media posts for you as well. Depending on how much food you collect, we may also be able to have our staff pick your collected donations
What kind of food should I collect?
We accept unopened, non-perishable items only. Please avoid expired food or food in glass containers. Even though your aunt might make the best jam in town we, unfortunately, cannot accept it unless it was purchased from a store and is still sealed.
