Job Title: Resource Development Coordinator
Status Part-Time
Reports to: Area Manager

Location: At the assigned Field Office

Job Summary

Resource Development Coordinator shall be responsible for connecting ICNA Relief with the surrounding community and shall be responsible for designing, developing and organizing new resource development strategies for ICNA Relief, incorporate new strategies such as, contacting corporate and community businesses to engage in new relationships, make donor calls when campaigns are in place, as well as recruit new volunteers and engage with them in ways that will keep their affiliation/relationship with us fun and exciting.


Essential Responsibilities:

The essential job duties of the Resource Development Coordinator shall be varied and include but not limited to:


· Public relations: Resource Development Coordinator shall be responsible creating strategic relationships with food banks, community, and public officers for grants. Establish public relations in the most appropriate and effective way to communicate with donors, supportive organization and agencies and the media to represent and promote the organization.

· Research and grant: Resource Development Coordinator shall be responsible for undertaking extensive and intensive research to collect data and information to focus on the donors, events and venues that may be useful platforms to represent and advocate for the organization and apply and secure grants for ICNA Relief

· Administrative duties: Resource Development Coordinator may be required to supervise field, administrative and office staff and office work that during various drives and events under various ICNA Relief programs.

· Food Distribution – Helping with food distribution, and creating partnership with food banks

· Communication and Marketing Initiatives: Undertake both verbal and in writing communication and outreach campaigns to inform and persuade donors, the media, and people in the community of the organization’s purpose.

· Multitasking – Resource Development Coordinator will be expected to multitask and be resourceful working on several projects. This ability is critical because events, people and members of the media need to be contacted and managed for effective publicity for the organization.


Other Responsibilities:

Administrative work

· Attending to telephone calls both inward and outward

· Greeting clients and directing them to the right field staff

· Scheduling and monitoring appointments with donors, like-minded agencies, other supportive organizations, and media

· Processing paperwork and obtaining authorization to apply for grants

· Request for statistical information from agencies to obtain grants

· Coordinate with donors and ensure deliveries



· Excellent organizational and administrative skills.

· Must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of tasks and confidential matters with discretion, pleasant manners, and compassion

· Ability to prioritize conflicting deadlines

· Excitement for helping the field staff and building congenial working relationships with other staff

· Prior demonstrated experience as a research coordinator

· Strong knowledge of local community and ability to establish networks and connections

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to communicate effectively with people at different levels of hierarchy both internally and with external parties

· Excellent attention to detail

Other duties such as filling in for other staff and updating computerized records on the system to make all records update and current may be assigned from time to time.

We would like to continue with the database, by adding a couple of new features such as, for easy to contact them by category when needed and keep categories such as age difference, volunteer time difference, preferred task differences, etc.


The new hire will be responsible for researching and implementing other new resource development efforts. The Resource Development Coordinator will report to the immediate supervisor at the assigned location. The coordinator will assist in the responsibilities for any additional volunteers, interns, or part-time, temporary staff who may provide support in resource development activities.


Required Education and Experience:

· Experience in management of a social work, interaction with other agencies, government bodies, and other volunteer programs.

· Relevant certifications and diverse experience will be given preference

· Must have a bachelor’s degree or something equivalent.

· Experience with Microsoft Office products such as MS Excel, Word, Power point etc.

· Excellent communication skills are mandatory.

· Language/Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability

· Fluency in the English language is compulsory.


Expected Hours of Work:

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours starting from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and must work 25 hours each week to maintain a employee status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.


Work Authorization:

The candidate desiring to be hired by ICNA Relief must have a legal status, social security number and work authorization by the relevant US authorities. The candidate by virtue of applying for this position authorizes ICNA Relief for his/her Background Check, reference check and a Medical Exam on need basis.


Travel Requirements:

ICNA Relief is a national organization with operations across various states, therefore the candidate must be willing and prepared to travel for official work/assignment at a 24-hour notice.

Mandatory Training
