Job Title: Muslim Family Services Clinical Counselor
Status Part-Time
Reports to: Area Manager
Department/Program: MFS
Location: West Philadelphia and Norristown, PA Offices

Essential Responsibilities:
● Evaluate client needs and deliver therapeutic interventions by implementing evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy as appropriate
● Be an active, solution-focused, and collaborative member of the treatment team
● Maintain communication as needed with internal and external entities
● Facilitate case management as needed or work alongside case managers and other team members to create service plans
● Provide crisis intervention services
● Deliver presentations on mental health and emotional intelligence topics
● Maintain accurate and timely client files and assure records comply with HIPAA
● Document meetings and calls with clients, family members, providers, etc.
● Provide input for program advancement
● Regularly attend meetings, in-service training, workshops, etc.
● Capture/maintain the needed data in reporting and other systems.

Education and Experience:
● Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or psychology, with a license to practice
● Experience with youth and families

Skills and Competencies:
● Arabic-English speaking preferred, but not required
● Respond promptly and compassionately to persons in crisis while maintaining appropriate and professional boundaries
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
● Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Word, social media, etc.

Hours:
This is a part-time position and hours will vary week to week.

Work Authorization:
The candidate must have legal status, social security number, and work authorization by the relevant US authorities. The candidate by virtue of applying for this position authorizes ICNA Relief for a background check, reference check, and a medical exam on a need basis.
