Hunger Prevention Program

According to research done by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 49 million Americans live in "food insecure" households meaning they don't know where their next meal is going to come from. To alleviate the national hunger crisis hitting families across America, ICNA Relief USA has established its hunger  prevention program to help both individuals and families from going hungry. ICNA Relief utilizes its full resources to launch effective programs that target impoverished communities thereby bringing life, nourishment and hope one meal at a time.

ICNA Relief’s national campaign against hunger Nourish America :: Hunger Relief  provides individuals and families with the fuel to survive and thrive. Following the ordinance of Allah SWT to feed the needy, ICNA Relief’s development of key public food assistance programs raise awareness of the hunger epidemic facing our nation as a whole.

The various  hunger relief initiatives of ICNA Relief are aimed at raising community awareness thereby launching efforts to address this growing epidemic. Through comprehensive outreach and service programs, ICNA Relief's Nourish America campaign remains strong in extinguishing the effects of hunger nationwide. Nourish America provides nutritious, fresh foods to low-income Americans struggling to buy food. Some of our current programs include:

  • Mercy on Wheels
  • Soup Kitchens
  • Food Pantries
  • Ramadan Food Baskets
  • Skip Lunch, Feed a Hungry Child

God says in the Qur'an:

"(The righteous are those) who feed the poor, the orphan and the captive for the love of God, saying: 'We feed you for the sake of God Alone; we seek from you neither reward nor thanks.'" (The Holy Quran, 76:8-9)
