ICNA Relief USA is now a member of the New York Food Bank. Membership in the Food Bank will allow ICNA Relief to serve the needy within our community more adequately. ICNA Relief will be able to purchase food from the Food Bank's expansive warehouse for pennies on the dollar and receive Government Surplus Food for free. This partnership with the Food Bank will allow more members of our community food security during these tough economic times. ICNA Relief will operate as one of the very few Halal Food Pantries in New York City but it is anticipated that the pantry will be accessed by not only Muslims. ICNA Relief will operate a fully functional food pantry once a week. Members of the community who are eligible will be required to register with ICNA Relief in advance, the basic requirement being need.
